The Area
We say the Blount Arms is situated in one of the most scenic areas of England but we are biased! It‘s right alongside the Wyre Forest which is a haven for all sorts of wild animals, in fact deer are seen regularly around the pub.
There are miles of forest walks and for the more energetic mountain bike trails. Within a few miles you can explore around Clee Hill with its spectacular panoramic views and in the other direction there‘s the historic town of Bewdley, the Severn River and its valley railway as well as the Safari Park. There‘s local course fishing with several nearby pools and a clay pigeon shooting ground. We have two golf courses within five miles and tennis on site.
Further to the West are the market towns of Tenbury Wells and Ludlow. To the North Bridgenorth is twenty minutes away. We have local Farmers Markets, a good supply of local Farm Shops as well as outlets for local Beef and Lamb. There‘s good swimming at Tenbury Pool and a cinema decorated inside as an Italian garden. In the high summer we have local agricultural shows, classic motor bike exhibitions as well as hop festivals and the famous Food and Drink festival in Ludlow.
